Artwork Information | The installation PuFF attempts to create an unidentified space, an indecisive zone of repetition replete with the absurdity of a floor which is continually filled with glitter only so that it can be continually vacuumed. The artists themselves (Yasemin Baydar and Birol Demir, collectively known as :mentalKLINIK) playfully call it: ‘The art of idiocentric duty and idiocentric beauty.’ In this case, idio - centric duty transforms whatever it encounters into an object of its occupation, while idiocentric beauty transforms the onlookers into mesmerized subjects. PuFF does not interact with its audience yet it achieves completion only if the audience flirts with the sway of its significance – of its uncertainty into certainty – with the manner that it establishes relations with materials and actions to construct an immaterial world.
